Rochelle Parks New Concepts for Living, Inc. Honors Channel Mack With Strongest Link Award
(Rochelle Park, New Jersey) — New Concepts for Living Inc. (New Concepts), a community non-profit organization committed to people with disabilities and their families, presented staff member, Channel Mack, with the organization’s Strongest Link Award. Ms. Mack, Direct Care Counselor with New Concepts for over a year, was nominated by her supervisor and Assistant Manager Maria Kaszonyi to receive the quarterly award in recognition of her outstanding work.
Ms. Kaszonyi cited several reasons for why Ms. Mack was nominated for this award. “Ms. Mack has continually done more than she is asked and is always ready to get involved with other people. She demonstrates a positive attitude and initiative. Not only does Ms. Mack have a good relationship with the client she works with, but she also wants to make all the clients feel like a part of the larger community. For example, she developed the idea to take the clients to Branch Brook Park this spring,” she said.
Ms. Mack received a cash award, and her name was inscribed on the Strongest Link Award plaque.
This fall, Ms. Mack will begin her junior year at the State University of New Jersey Rutgers-Newark campus, where she is studying social work. She is active in the larger community and has volunteered with Eva’s Kitchen distributing food to those in need in Paterson.
