Maria Rego Director of Development
(Rochelle Park, New Jersey) — New Concepts for Living Inc. (New Concepts) announces that Maria Rego has been named the organization’s Director of Development. Ms. Rego, a first generation Portuguese-American, is a resident of Hackensack, New Jersey. New Concepts, a community non-profit organization based in Rochelle Park, works with people with disabilities and their families throughout Bergen County.
"We are extremely pleased to have Ms. Rego as part of our management team. Her responsibilities as Director of Development are very important to New Concepts' growth and financial strength," said Homer J. Cudia, Chairman, New Concepts for Living, Inc.
As Director of Development, Ms. Rego’s responsibilities include managing and expanding the organization’s fundraising program. In addition, she manages the New Concepts Disabled Children’s Foundation’s annual golf classic and serves on the foundation’s golf committee.
Previously, Ms. Rego worked as an assistant editor for Prentice Hall in the higher education division of Pearson Education in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. She provided editorial support to the executive managing editor, and managed and oversaw book projects and read and researched book proposals. Prentice Hall is a market leader in educational, technical, and reference publishing for higher education and an innovator in online learning and support.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Felician College in Rutherford and is a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Lodi and Saint Francis School in Hackensack.
