New Concepts Disabled Childrens Foundation
Holds Eighth Annual SkyMark Golf Classic

(Bergen County, New Jersey) — The New Concepts Disabled Children’s Foundation, a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, announces that its eighth annual golf outing, The SkyMark Golf Classic, was held at the High Point Golf Club, 342 Shore Drive in Montague, New Jersey. Christopher Martin, President and COO of The Provident Bank, was the Honorary Chairman.

The New Concepts Disabled Children’s Foundation organizes fundraising activities and events to support New Concepts for Living, Inc.’s (New Concepts) mission to provide quality care and services to people with disabilities and their families. New Concepts, a community-based, non-profit organization located in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, enables people with disabilities to realize their dreams and to achieve their individual potential through quality community programs and services that include housing, vocational and day program training, recreation, advocacy, and family education and support.

Over $59,000 raised from the event will go directly to provide services and support for people with developmental disabilities and their families. A highlight of the golf classic was the kick-off of the High Point Helicopter Ball Drop scheduled for September 5, 2007 at the High Point Golf Club Attendees may purchase tickets for a chance to win a new Lincoln Navigator and several other prizes that will be awarded in September.

For John Gardner, Chairman of the New Concepts Disabled Children’s Foundation, being involved with the organization and participating in the golf classic is a personal one. Gardner, whose eldest child is developmentally disabled, understands from his own experiences the challenges parents confront who have a disabled child.

“When I joined the foundation’s board of trustees, I realized it would take a small effort for a number of people to make a significant difference in individuals’ lives, especially those who are unable to fend for themselves. The golf classic was created as an event where people could get a firsthand view of the challenges of a disabled individual and how this affects the person and the entire family, said Gardner, President of Business Environments in Parsippany.

“We educate people unfamiliar with the challenges, and help them to understand how they may make a difference. Over 97 cents of every dollar that the New Concepts Disabled Children’s Foundation raises is spent directly on the disabled individuals not on administrative costs.”

Donations are still being accepted and may be sent to the New Concepts Disabled Children’s Foundation, 68a West Passaic Street, Rochelle Park, NJ 07662.
