Take Me Out to the Ball Game. Developmentally Disabled Enjoy an Evening With the Newark Bears.

(Rochelle Park, New Jersey) — Bergen County residents with developmental disabilities recently enjoyed an evening watching the Newark Bears play at Riverfront Stadium in Newark, New Jersey.  Eighty clients, their families, and staff affiliated with New Concepts for Living, Inc. (New Concepts), a non-profit organization that works with people with developmental disabilities and their families throughout Bergen County, were invited by a local company to watch the Newark Bears game.

The minor league baseball team recently won the 2007 Atlantic League Championship.  Rip ‘N Ruppert, the official Newark Bears’ mascot, visited the New Concepts’ crowd.
