Medical Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Medical Director is a full-time clinical and administrative leader responsible for overseeing medical care and health services across both Day Habilitation and Group Home (Community Residence) programs serving adults with developmental disabilities. The Medical Director provides direct oversight of healthcare practices, supports interdisciplinary care, and leads initiatives that promote wellness, safety, and quality of life for individuals served.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including the following but are not limited to):
- Serve as the primary medical provider for New Concepts for Living clients.
- Assist with development, review, and updates of individual client’s healthcare plans.
- Provide clinical consultation and decision-making support for medical needs.
- Conduct routine medical reviews of residents’ care and protocols.
- Work with residential and day habilitation staff to coordinate hospital discharges and preventive care.
- Collaborate with hospital health care professionals and advocate for the individual client’s health care – during and after discharge.
- Maintain required medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid standards.
- Promote wellness across programs through preventive care initiatives, screenings, and health education.
- Assist with the development and implementation of health care policies and procedures.
- Cooperate with New Concepts for Living and Department Staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with an active, unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty (preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience, ideally with adults with developmental disabilities or within community-based

Community Residence Manager (Group Home)

Assistant Residential Director
New Concepts for Living is a community based non-profit organization committed to adults with developmental disabilities and their families.
SALARY: $90,000 – $120,000/per year
HOURS: 50 per week
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following but are not limited to):
- Preview, oversee and participate in resident Individualized Service Plans (ISP’s), serving as a member of an I.D.T. and ensuring that resident needs and preferences are properly addressed, and plans are appropriately implemented, monitored, and revised as needs dictate
- Assist in the oversight of residential staff needs including but not limited to utilization, recruitment, orientation, supervision, training, and development as needed
- Provide assistance and support to the home and apartment managers to resolve coverage and related staffing issues
- Assist with the processing and oversight of various forms of program documentation to ensure compliance with NCFL policy and various federal, state, and local requirements
- Communicate any and all concerns regarding homes or staff to Director in a timely manner
- Coordinate the provision of resident transportation
- Serve as a liaison between managers and other departments to ensure effective communication

- Provide oversight for day program including supervision, recruitment, and orientation, and ensure training needs are properly addressed with all program staff
- Plan, develop, evaluate, schedule, and provide training for the staff to ensure proper program coverage and all participant’s needs are met
- Support and sustain positive morale of the staff.
- Coordinate, plan and conduct staff meetings; ensure that problems encountered by staff are resolved to ensure smooth operation of the program
- Assist in the observations of classrooms, evaluate activities, and collaborate with Director to develop action plans
- Develop and monitor creative and interesting community centered opportunities for program participants
