Construction is underway for two new homes in Old Tappan. These residences will help with the increased need to provide homes for medically fragile individuals.
Steve Setteducati, CEO, announces “having grown to full capacity at our Rochelle Park Achievement Center and Administrative Offices, NCFL recently purchased a new and significantly larger facility in Paramus. This will increase our day program participants more than three-fold in the interest of accommodating our lengthy wait list of extraordinary individuals. Our new Achievement Center will be custom built utilizing advanced design enhancements specific to the needs of our population.”
New Concepts for Living is pleased to announce the recent purchase of a spacious, ranch style home in Upper Saddle River, which we hope to open in the middle of July. This home will help with the increased demand for residences for intellectually and developmentally disabled adults.
New Concepts for Living has hired Peter Tripod as the non-profit organization’s Operations Manager. Tripod joined NCFL in April 2022 and has more than 25 years of experience in Operations. His former roles include positions in firms such as Fluidra S.A. and most recently First Priority Emergency Services. In this current role, Tripod will be responsible for improving the operations of facilities for NCFL.
Tripod, a graduate of Rutgers University School of Engineering, stated, “I am excited to utilize my experience and background to contribute to NCFL’s mission of enhancing the lives of intellectually and developmentally disabled adults. This is an exciting new chapter for me.”
New Concepts for Living announces the promotions of Adrian Lopez and Amir Kader from Direct Service Professionals to Behavior Specialists. Kader has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick and graduated with the highest honors. Lopez also has a Bachelor’s Degree and graduated with honors from Seton Hall University in South Orange. Both are excited and eager to continue working with our extraordinary individuals on a different level.
New Concepts for Living recently partnered with Barr Karate in Hackensack to provide martial arts classes to our day program participants. Attendees rotate weekly and are enjoying these 60-minute classes designed to improve discipline, focus, and increase self-esteem, while providing physical exercise. Our day program participants and their accomplishments have inspired Soke Grandmaster Larry Barr to expand his program to offer a “Special Needs Program” for extraordinary children, teens, and adults.
